Value My Plate (valuemyplate.co.uk) is a free tool for estimating the value of UK private number plates. This page explains what data we collect, why, and what choices you have.
When you type a registration into the valuation tool, it's sent to our own server-side function to generate an estimate from historical DVLA auction data. We don't store the plates you look up, share them with third parties, or link them to you personally.
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, page views and general traffic patterns, nothing tied to your identity. This only runs if you accept the cookie banner shown on your first visit. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site, which will show the banner again.
The site links out to third-party number plate dealers and to GOV.UK for official DVLA services. Some of these outbound links may be affiliate links, meaning we could receive a referral commission if you make a purchase through them, at no extra cost to you. We don't control and aren't responsible for how those sites handle your data, check their own privacy policies before sharing information with them.
